How to Make Kimchi

This food is traditional food from Korea, Thailand food and make it yourself at home?

Ingredients A:

  • 5 tbsp coarse salt
  • 500 grams of chicory, split 4, cut into pieces
  • 1 liter of water

Vegetable Ingredients:

  • 40 grams of radish, cut into matchsticks
  • 20 grams of carrots, cut into matchsticks
  • 40 grams of green onions, cut into 3 cm

Ground spices:

  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored
  • 1/2 onion
  • 12 red chilies


Rice porridge:

  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 100 ml of water
  • 1 tbsp sugar


How to make:

  1. Soak mustard greens with water and coarse salt, let stand for 30-60 minutes. Occasionally squeeze.
  2. To make rice porridge, mix rice flour, water and sugar, stir well. Cook until thick. set aside.
  3. Wash the mustard greens 2-3 times until the saltiness is gone. Squeeze and drain. Add mustard greens, complementary vegetables, ground spices, and rice porridge. Stir well.
  4. Put the kimchi in the jar. Store for 2-3 days at room temperature. After 2-3 days, kimchi is ready to eat.
  5. Serve with instant noodles or rice.
